The vast majority of us go through life skimming across the surface, expending most of our time and energy on day to day needs and with the bit we have left on leisure of some kind. We are unaware of the vast potential that lays dormant within us, mines of unrealised possibility that can be awakened with a shift in perspective and a redirection of energy.
A higher purpose awaits us when we are ready to embrace it.
Unlocking a new path
At our core we all yearn for a more profound sense of meaning in life, a deeper connection with ourselves, others, and the world at large. We have been educated to value the intellect and the physical world, so we look for this meaning outwardly. But time and again we come up empty handed because what we are looking for is not without but within. The new path is an inner journey of discovery, freedom and understanding.
Facilitating the shift
Because we are so immeshed in daily life, our energy can become weighted down with the mundane. This causes us to lose awareness of the finer, subtler, spiritual realities that can only be experienced when we are able to temporarily let go of the physical, and blend with the higher aspect of ourselves. Moving ones awareness away from the everyday and facilitating the shift into higher awareness is the goal and purpose of all true spiritual teachings, of all traditions, past and present.
